UPF 50+ Sun Protection
From California Polytechnic State University: "The brim area of these hats is excellent, in fact we have never tested anything with 0% transmittance. Congratulations on this protection!"
*For sun protection choose a hat with a 3" brim or larger.
*Hats with vents (lattice) will not provide protection to that area.
*Water, sand, snow, and pavement can reflect the sun. Use sunglasses and sunblock with your hat.
Needed a wide brim hat for sun protection and that also had a nice style. The Cark Hat was a perfect choice. Hat was shipped in a timely manner.
Beautifully crafted and comfortable to wear. Unlike most other “straw” hats, this one is actually made of straw and not paper fibers. The natural straw keeps both the sun and occasional rain shower off your head. I know I will enjoy this hat for years to come.
I volunteer with an animal rescue and we have several outdoor events. I love Tula hats. They look great and keep their shape while providing great shade. I bought my first hat in a gift shop a few years ago and wanted to get more.
This is the second of its kind that I have ordered, and the first one is still in great shape. I wear this hat out in the field, and it has held up to more than four years of long days farming out in the field. The only reason I'm ordering a second, is because my first one has stretched out to accommodate the ear protection that I wear when I'm on a tractor or using machinery, so I needed a second hat to fit snug for the rest of the time.
As a man I would like a hat for a man.
I love the hats.
They are of an unusual high quality.
They also look cool.
But please designate a man's hat as a man's hat; women have women's hats, so maintain the difference.
Women can choose men's hats if they like. And men may choose women's clothes.
Thanks, and remember to keep the lines clear.
