*Hats with vents (lattice) will not provide protection to that area.
*Water, sand, snow, and pavement can reflect the sun. Use sunglasses and sunblock with your hat.

Bought my first Outback, just over 20 years ago. After sweating in the Deep South, hiking in the desert, getting it wet in the ocean, lake, and the river by my house, it has endured. I could feel the breeze from the vents as soon as I put my new one on, I love the lattice option. I’m looking forward to Summer now. I have another Tula style, but I dress it up a bit.
Loved the hat. Unfortunately it was too big and there was not a smaller size, so had to send it back

Good quality as always, the lattice allows for air circulation.
I had to order a new one of these because my granddaughters sort of destroyed my old one by using it for cowgirl adventures on the rocking horse. I am keeping my old one for such things but my new one is just for me. It keeps me protected from the sun while looking great. We live in an area that's windy at times and I like the fact that I can cinch it down. Highly recommend.
