*Hats with vents (lattice) will not provide protection to that area.

I've been wearing this particular Tula hat for almost ten years.
When I say "wearing" I mean every time I stick my head out the door.
We farm- I wear this hat 100% of the time.
Vacation? Wear the hat.
After 6 years of continuous use, I had to replace one. Then I left one at a family member's home and I think they liked it so much they kept it! So I had to order another one.
There's literally no other hat I would put on my head for sun protection and everywhere I wear it, people ask about it. I have very long hair and I wear it in a topknot on my head, which is why the open crown Tula is PERFECT.

I This is my third Open Crown Hat. I loved my first hat so much I bought a second so I could have one for gardening and a nice one to wear out. Unfortunately while Mowing the field the wind blew off my head under the mower and was chewed up. I have lupus and have to keep the sun off of my face and this hat has a beautiful wide brim. The hats have all been of great quality and every where I go women ask me where I got it. I can't imagine not having these beautiful hats.
